Geared for a Better Future

For Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of NGC Gears Group, the great increase in orders for wind power gear boxes and deliveries ahead of schedule mean that the  peak period of delivery will be moved up to as early as in April this year, and also that the parts rinsing and coating prior to heat treatment will be  an important yet cumbersome step in the manufacturing process.

Timely deliveries are a basic element of satisfying customer needs as well as an important index for corporate LP (Lean Production) promotions. Therefore, in order to achieve timely deliveries and promote the company’s integrity and reputation while enhancing service awareness and establishing a new image of its young staff, Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. issued a proposal to all young staff, giving full play to the role of the young pioneer to voluntarily carrying out the pre-heat treatment coating of spare parts.

Shortly thereafter, the First Branch, Second Branch, Third Branch and Heat Treatment Branch of the corporation actively responded. Volunteers resolutely joined hands to tackle the tedious and arduous labor, with gloves on and scrub brushes in hand.

To ensure normal operations, young volunteers conducted spare part rinsing and coating in their free time. With an enthusiastic and passionate atmosphere, they devoted themselves wholly to service. To them, there is a source of pride and fondness in being young volunteers.

With the support of company executives, this voluntary event achieved great success: during these 43 days, 22 young volunteers offered their service in burring, chamfering, rinsing and coating a total of 3,639 spare parts, vitalizing High Speed Corporation’s construction of a civilized community.
