Recently, the propulsion equipment for the Dalian 1500-ton ocean surveillance vessel (Haijian 1010) provided by a subsidiary of NGC Marine Group-Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd passed sea trial successfully. The propulsion system includes main propulsion equipment and side thrusters. The main propulsion equipment includes two controllable pitch propellers, two gear boxes, main propulsion control, monitoring and alarming system.

The Dalian 1500-ton ocean surveillance vessel belongs to Dalian Marine Surveillance Detachment, with its total tonnage of 1500 tons, which currently stands as the largest ocean surveillance vessel in Dalian. The vessel is equipped with an exclusive helicopter platform, and the entire propulsion system is equipped with twin engines and propellers. The stern tubes are water lubricated and the whole shafting is 31m in length, classed under CCS. The main engine outputs 3060kW.

The project design required that given standard marine conditions, the propeller must enable vessel navigational speed to reach 20 knots or higher. Through trial voyage, the vessel exceeded the design requirements in terms of navigational speed, and the vessel has become a powerful new instrument in China Marine Surveillance System, greatly enhancing China’s surveillance capabilities. The ship owner gave high recognitions to NGC Marine Group for its technical strength in marine propulsion. .

The successful trial voyage of the Dalian 1500-ton ocean surveillance vessel reflects that NGC Marine Group has the capacity to provide high-quality and high precision propulsion system as a complete package solution. The technologies contained in the company’s products have reached international standards. (By Chen Shenghua, Gao Jingyi, and Chen Daiming)
