Geared for a Better Future

On November 9, 2010, a large evacuation drill and fire extinguishing drill were held separately in two production bases of Nanjing High Speed Company. Mr. Zhou Zhijin, the vice general manager of China High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. served as the commander of the drill. The whole company (including outside visitors, equipment installation personnel, maintainers, cleaners and painters, supervisors, etc) participated in the drill actively.

The drill consisted of different parts, starting from the simulated fire site, report at the first time by the employee, progressive report by workshop management, quick reaction of the fire department from the work ship team to the company; giving an alarm and alarm receipt, the escape, self help, evacuation, the transfer of important stuffs and explosive articles after catching the fire, the rescue of the injured people, safety guarding of the firing site and the withdrawal after the fire, and so on.

During the drill, Dongshan fire-brigade gave all the participators the training on the operation of the fire extinguisher and water bank. Our volunteer firemen visited the fire engine after the drill. The drill strengthened their sense of evacuation and skills to fight fire.
