On the morning of May 30, 2026, a thunderous roar of drums and cheering echoed along the long embankment of Xuanwu Lake, as the 14th NGC Staff Dragon Boat Race officially kicked off. Across the shimmering waters, 21 competing teams surged forward like arrows from a bow, paddling in fierce competition, and showcasing the spirit of NGC people with the passion of "breaking through waves and standing at the forefront." Carrying the corporate ethos of "Climb Up the Summit Step by Step, Strive for Perfection Bit by Bit," this cultural event — now in its 14th year — continues to innovate while honoring tradition, drawing nearly a thousand employees, family members and local citizens to the lakeshore to witness this festival of the NGC people.

This year's race featured 21 teams. The tradition of department leaders boarding the boats to support their teams continued, with senior members rowing alongside their subordinates, united in purpose. Enthusiasm for participation reached an all-time high, while the intensity of the competition hit a record high. The race featured a 300-meter straight-track format. After four heats of fierce battles and three finals of peak showdowns, the Wind Speed Team from Factory No. 3 of High Speed Gear Manufacturing successfully defended its title with an outstanding time of 1 minute 40.88 seconds. The Setting Sail Team from Huai'an Company and the Dream Team from High Speed & Accurate Gear won second prize; the Crossing Waves Team from Factory No. 1 of High Speed Gear Manufacturing, the Extreme Planet Fleet from High Speed Asteroid Gears Production, and the Flying Eagles Team from High Speed Heat Treatment won third prize.

At the closing ceremony, a series of carefully choreographed performances by employees took the stage. Traditional dragon and lion dances intertwined with modern song and dance, with melodies and laughter echoing across Xuanwu Lake, showcasing the vibrant, life-loving spirit of the NGC people.

Dragon boat racing is not about winning or losing in the moment — it is about forging a team's courage, resilience, and deep synergy. Between the flashing paddles, what is gathered is trust; what is passed on is strength. The NGC people will take this race as a new starting point, transforming their unity and momentum from the water into dedication and collaboration at their jobs, rowing through the currents of high-quality development, breaking waves and forging ahead together, using the oars of hard work to chart an even brighter new chapter for the enterprise.
