The Sixth China Quality Conference was held on September 16 in Nanjing. Themed “Quality: Empowering New Quality Productive Forces”, the conference is a platform that aims to promote collaboration in global quality initiatives. It was jointly hosted by the State Administration for Market Regulation and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, and organized by the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government. The conference saw Zhang Guoqing, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, delivering a speech during the opening ceremony.

NGC receives the 5th China Quality Award Nomination

The 5th China Quality Award recipients were announced during the conference. Gu Xiaobin, General Manager of NGC High Speed Gear Manufacturing, accepted the award medal and certificate on behalf of the company. The recognition not only highlighted NGC’s quality and strength in gear transmission systems, but also reflected the high-quality development of China’s equipment manufacturing industry.

China Quality Award: Highest national honor for quality

China Quality Award – the highest national honor for quality in the country – was established in 2012 following the approval of China’s central government. Organized biennially by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, it has been held five times. The award aims to promote quality management systems, models and approaches, drive innovation in quality management across industries, disseminate quality ideas, foster a societal consensus on "valuing quality and pursuing excellence," and develop China into a quality-driven nation. The GB/T19579 Outstanding Performance Management System is used to evaluate companies in the seven aspects of strategy, leadership, customers and markets, measurement, analysis and improvement, resources, process management and results. A process- and results-based method is used in the evaluation system, as part of efforts to achieve the excellence in quality goal.

Red Star Transmission 1253 model drives high-quality development

NGC received the award by virtue of its Red Star Transmission 1253 quality management model, which integrates technological innovation and management improvements to enhance quality. Aligned with the company’s strategic positioning, NGC also developed a customer-oriented quality management platform and closed-loop quality control system spanning the entire product life cycle.

The Red Star Transmission 1253 model achieves quality control in five aspects:

R&D: Strengthening reliability design to prevent quality risks;

Organization: Improving structure and talent development to build a professional quality team;

Services: Focusing on customer needs, promptly responding to and solving problems;

Manufacturing: Implementing quality control throughout the entire process to ensure high product standards;

Supply chain: Rigorous selection of high-quality suppliers to create a collaborative and win-win ecosystem.

Moreover, this model includes an evaluation system that measures process compliance (60%), performance completion (30%) and sustainable development (10%) to optimize management processes and strengthen quality management.
