On July 9, the 2026 China Wind Power Transmission System O&M Special Training Workshop, hosted by Jiangsu Province Renewable Energy Industry Association and co-organized by Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (NGC), wrapped up successfully in Guiyang. Centered on hot-button industry topics such as technological upgrading of wind power transmission systems, optimization of equipment O&M, and development of full-lifecycle service systems, the workshop brought together industry practitioners and technical specialists from across the industrial chain for in-depth exchanges. Its core objectives were to strengthen the O&M competency for wind power transmission equipment, roll out cutting-edge industrial technologies and premium service models, and advance high-quality and sustainable development of China's wind power industry.

At the workshop, Chen Rongjun, R&D Technical Manager of NGC, delivered a special presentation titled "Technological Evolution of Wind Turbines Transmission Chains." Drawing on the current landscape of the wind power industry, his presentation offered thorough insights into three core areas: industrial development trends, breakthroughs in core transmission technologies, and construction of product reliability systems. He also shared NGC's cutting-edge R&D outcomes and technology layout for wind power transmission chain solutions.

Chen highlighted that plain bearings represent a pivotal innovation pathway to cut costs and boost efficiency for modern wind energy gearboxes. Compared with conventional rolling bearings, plain bearings deliver distinct advantages in regulating structural stress, streamlining equipment dimensions, and controlling overall production costs, cementing their position as a prevailing technical direction for wind energy gearbox upgrades. Meanwhile, NGC has built a rigorous, end-to-end reliability management system paired with comprehensive in-plant testing and validation protocols. Stringent quality assurance is enforced across the entire chain spanning R&D and design, production and manufacturing, and finished product inspection. This holistic oversight safeguards stable operation of wind energy gearboxes throughout their service life and delivers sustained operational value to customers.

Building on its core technical strategies of large-capacity wind turbines and integrated transmission system, as well as its robust R&D expertise in plain bearings, NGC continues to fortify its technological competitive edge and accelerate technological innovation and advancement within the wind power transmission field.

Following Chen's presentation, Luo Wenzhen, Aftermarket Technical Manager of NGC, delivered a themed presentation titled "Specialized Full-Lifecycle Services for Wind Gearboxes," elaborating on three sections: service capability building, core technical support for aftermarket operations, and medium- and long-term aftermarket service planning. He pointed out that gearboxes function as mission-critical components of wind turbines, whose reliable full-lifecycle operation hinges on professional, factory-backed technical support and service. Specialized full-lifecycle services serve as a cornerstone for wind farms to streamline daily O&M, lower operational costs and boost operational efficiency.

As a well-known enterprise in the wind power transmission industry, NGC prioritizes customer demands and keeps scaling up its aftermarket service infrastructure to elevate overall O&M service capabilities. On the hardware side, NGC has optimized its nationwide service network system by dividing the national market into seven dedicated service zones, each with an exclusive regional warehouse. This setup enables rapid allocation and timely supply of core components, ensuring prompt response to customer needs for equipment replacement and spare parts maintenance. For manpower scheduling and response mechanism, NGC has dismantled traditional regional service barriers and built a unified service dispatching platform that facilitates on-site deployment of nearby technicians on demand. This creates a cohesive nationwide O&M service system, significantly improving emergency response efficiency during equipment breakdowns and enabling efficient integration and targeted deployment of industry resources.

Beyond upgrading its hardware network layout, NGC also invests heavily in aftermarket technical innovation, constantly refining its O&M technologies and service solutions. Backed by robust technical strength, a sound service system, and efficient response capability, NGC delivers end-to-end, professional, and integrated gearbox O&M service support to wind farm customers nationwide.

The successful staging of this training has created a premium platform for technical exchange and experience sharing for the wind power industry chain. Looking ahead, NGC will stay committed to technological innovation and remain focused on the core track of wind power transmission. It will continue to advance state-of-the-art technologies and refine the full-lifecycle service system, fueling industrial upgrading via technology and underpinning industry progress through high-quality services, thereby injecting sustained momentum into the large-scale, high-quality development of China's wind power industry.
